Neutrality and Prayers: Mouvement Laique v Saguenay
Abstract
In Mouvement laique v Saguenay the Supreme Court of Canada held that the recitation of a prayer at the opening of a municipal council’s public meeting breached ‘the state’s duty of neutrality’ in matters of religion.
